Fat loss surgical procedures usually are not a cure. . . but a tool

Fat loss operations usually are not a solution to unhealthy weight. The truth is you simply enjoy a little while to enjoy the sole benefits of fat loss operations.

Long lasting fat reduction is not guaranteed because of weight loss surgeries; rather it is about a change in lifestyle. Obviously weight loss surgeries will not represent a lifestyle modification.

Types of fat loss surgical procedures:

There are basically three types of weight loss surgery strategies;

(i) Restrictive weight loss surgery

(ii) Mal-absorptive fat reduction surgery

(iii) Restrictive and mal-absorptive (Combined) fat reduction surgery.

Restrictive fat reduction surgeries are procedures that reduces the capacity of the stomach so that you are forced to consume less food by limiting the amount of food your stomach can hold at a time; hence the idea of restrictive surgery. This is usually done in two main ways, either using staples or by using a band.

Both techniques reduce the size of the effective stomach by creating a very small pouch out of the main stomach using either the band or staples.

Mal-absorptive weight loss surgical procedures alternatively do not restrict intake of food. It suppresses absorption of calories. The procedures entail removing a significant length of small intestines from absorbing the digested food.

The logic behind mal-absorptive surgeries are that though one may consume a lot of calories, fewer calories are absorbed into the blood stream due to a substantially shorter small intestines, the site for nutrient and calorie absorption.

Combined fat reduction surgeries are a mixture of the other two procedures. It has become common since it is observed to be more efficient to limit both calorie consumption and absorption.

It is important that weight loss surgeries is understood. They aren't a solution to obesity; they likely will never be. The only cure for obesity is a modificant of lifestyle to a healthy diet and increased physical exercises.

Additionally, much modern thought is looking at short sleep durations as a universal trigger of hormone imbalances that bring about elevated hunger.

Why can't I lose weight?
